As a contemporary portrait photographer, I take photographs you'll be excited to hang on your wall, print into albums, and share online with your family and friends. These will be the photographs you continue to look back on for years and generations to come.
Too often do I hear the words “I don’t like my photo being taken.” What I really hear is “I’ve never seen a photo of myself that I like to look at.” Let me do that for you. Let my experiences of being both in front of and behind the camera, direct you to the best photos of yourself. Trust me. Trust the process. You are worthy of photographs of yourself that you love.
In high school, for me, one of my favourite subjects was Media Studies. ...Or was it called Creative Writing? hmmm, or was it just English? EITHER WAY, they were all taught by the same fantastic teacher, and it was their lesson that had me first create my own production studio. Little Siddall Studios. "Siddall" is my maiden name and it also happens to rhyme with "Little". If you've met me in person before, you know that I struggle to reach 5ft tall, so the name felt very fitting to me. Looking back at the first logo I ever created both makes me cringe and brings me joy.
The blogging began as a way to journal my rambling thoughts and share things I thought others might enjoy as well. From 2012-2017 I would share pictures, recipes from "The Travelling Crockpot", snapshots of my pet and ramblings about my life. 2018-2023 brought much reflection and quiet that was needed to bring me to where I am today. The photo taking never stopped, but the blogging became few and far between and my desire to work in the shadows before emerging once again was ever present. The studio, this online space, has been a place for me to create however I want to. This website has changed looks countless times and probably will continue to do so. Forever a work in progress - I enjoy the ability to continue to question things and challenge myself.
Here in 2024 I feel a desire to show up for myself more than ever before. To create from my heart. To be heart centred first and business minded second. To be value giving first and compensated second. My hope is that you've found me because you're on the search for exactly what your heart wants. Whether it be a picture of you or your beautiful family, or support in facilitation of workshops, I'm happy you found me. I'd love for you to reach out and tell me what you're envisioning.
